! The manufacturer and its associated entities assume no liability for injury, death, or damage caused by misuse of this helmet.
! This helmet does not protect against ionizing or non-ionizing radiation, external radiation, or any risks not explicitly covered in these instructions.
! Only manufacturer-approved components may be used with this helmet. Do not alter or modify the helmet to fit unapproved accessories or attachments.

Introduction

The Cygnus 360 Safety Hard Hat sets a new standard in on-site head protection. Specifically engineered to meet CE and ANSI standards, this helmet is designed to safeguard the wearer from falling objects, reducing the risk of skull fractures and brain injuries.

The helmet absorbs impact energy through the partial deformation or destruction of the shell or harness β€” a design that may occur without visible external signs. Any helmet that has sustained a significant impact must be replaced immediately, regardless of appearance.

Intended Use This safety helmet is designed specifically for head protection in construction and industrial environments. It must only be used for applications specified by the manufacturer and in compliance with local safety regulations.

Fitting & Adjustment

The Cygnus 360 fits head sizes from 53 to 63 cm. Users with smaller head sizes may require a downsizing kit. Before each use, confirm that the helmet, suspension system, and chinstrap are correctly assembled and securely fitted.

Ratchet Size Adjustment

Use the ratchet knob at the rear of the helmet to tighten or loosen the fit until it feels firm and secure. Adjust the headband before fastening the chinstrap.

Cradle System

The cradle attaches directly to the helmet shell and is replaceable if needed. It offers two height settings for a customized fit.

3-Point Chinstrap

Side straps must sit below the ears. Pull the nape strap tight β€” the buckle clicks securely into place on the left side. Pull the free end to achieve a snug fit.

4-Point Chinstrap

Adjust both nape strap buckles to ensure a tight and balanced fit behind the head.

6-Point Suspension System The internal headband offers four different placement options inside the helmet for a customized, secure fit across all head sizes in the 53–63 cm range.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • 1
Clean the shell and suspension system regularly with mild soap and lukewarm water (no hotter than 40Β°C / 104Β°F). Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry before use.
  • 2
Inspect the internal harness, cradle straps, and chinstraps before each use. Adjust to ensure the helmet fits snugly.
  • 3
Inspect the shell for cracks, dents, or signs of impact damage before each use. Replace immediately if damage is found.
  • 4
Inspect the LED system and button for proper function. Do not use if the lighting system shows signs of damage or malfunction.
β›” Never use the following on this helmet: Paints Β· Solvents Β· Adhesives Β· Gasoline Β· Any chemical not approved by the manufacturer. These substances may compromise the helmet's protective capability without visible signs of damage.
β›” Storage warning: Do not leave the helmet in hot vehicles. Extreme heat and UV exposure will degrade the plastic shell and make it brittle, compromising protection even without visible damage.
πŸ“¦

Storage

Always store the helmet in a clean, dry environment at room temperature, away from contaminants, chemicals, and conditions that could cause degradation.

When not in use or during transport, place the helmet in a protective container lined with foam or paper cushioning to prevent scratches or impact damage.

UV & Heat Exposure Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and extreme heat will degrade the HDPE shell over time. Store away from windows, vehicle dashboards, and outdoor conditions when not in active use.

Repair Β· Replacement Β· Retirement

Minor surface damage β€” may be repairable Minor surface scratches, light paint abrasion, or superficial surface marks typically do not affect helmet performance. In such cases, the helmet may be restored using warm wet sanding to remove surface imperfections and stains.
β›” Replace or destroy the helmet immediately if any of the following are present:
  • βœ•Deep indentations, crushing, or visible laminate damage from impacts
  • βœ•Cracks extending through to the interior of the helmet, compromising structural integrity
  • βœ•Significant cracks or abnormal bending in the brim area
  • βœ•Signs of charring, burning, or excessive heat exposure (visibly burnt areas or substrate damage that cannot be corrected through sanding)
  • βœ•Visible residues of acids or chemicals that may have weakened the shell or paint
  • βœ•Shell deformation β€” sagging, drooping, or warping of any kind
  • βœ•The helmet can no longer be properly adjusted to fit securely
  • βœ•Any component fails inspection or appears unsafe for any reason
  • βœ•The helmet has sustained any significant impact β€” even if no visible damage is present
Spare Parts & Accessories Approved spare parts and accessories are available. Contact the manufacturer for replacement components or questions about correct assembly. Do not alter or modify the helmet to fit unapproved attachments.
