Built for the Worker Who Can't Afford to Be Invisible
We make the only ANSI-certified hard hat with fully integrated 360° LED lighting — engineered to keep workers visible, protected, and productive on every job site, in every condition.
A Hard Hat That Does More
Every day, millions of workers in construction, manufacturing, mining, and utilities put on a hard hat and get to work — often in conditions where visibility is poor, lighting is inadequate, and the margin for error is zero. We built Cygnus to close that gap.
The bolt-on solution wasn't working.
For years, the only way to get 360° lighting on a job site was to clip a separate ring light onto an existing hard hat. The attachments were heavy. They were bulky. Workers removed them constantly — because something uncomfortable on your head for a 10-hour shift gets taken off.
A worker who removes their safety equipment is a worker at risk. And when the light comes off, the visibility it provided goes with it.
Integrate it. So it can't come off.
The Cygnus 360 has 360-degree LED lighting built directly into the brim — not clipped on, not strapped over. The LEDs run the full circumference, tilted downward to illuminate the immediate workspace and reduce trip and fall risk.
Because the lighting is part of the hat, it can't be removed. That's not a feature. That's the entire point. The safest light is the one that stays on the worker's head all shift, every shift.
Built by Someone Who Saw the Problem Firsthand
Mike Moore didn't start Cygnus because he saw a market opportunity. He started it because he watched workers compromise their safety every day — and the products available to solve the problem were making it worse.
The existing clip-on lighting systems were heavy, uncomfortable, and constantly being set aside. Workers weren't being reckless. They were being human. No one can focus on a job with something awkward on their head. So the lights came off, and the risk went up.
Mike set out to engineer a hard hat that eliminated the choice entirely — one where the lighting was built in from the start, certified to the same ANSI standards every employer requires, and priced so that doing the right thing didn't cost more than doing the wrong thing.
"The best safety equipment is the equipment workers actually keep on. Everything we build starts from that premise."
After years of R&D, multiple tooling iterations, and rigorous independent testing, the Cygnus 360 earned ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 Type 1 Class E certification, FCC approval, and IP53 rating — and ships at $145. Less than a premium hard hat and a clip-on lighting system combined.
What's at Stake on Every Job Site
Workplace visibility isn't a comfort issue. It's a cost-of-business issue — and for too many workers, a life-safety issue. These numbers are why Cygnus exists.
Certified to the Standards Your Job Site Demands
The Cygnus 360 isn't self-certified or provisional. Every certification is independently tested and issued — so you can deploy with confidence and document compliance without question.
Three Reasons Employers Are Switching
Safety officers and fleet buyers don't just see a better hard hat. They see a business case.
